Saving time and money in development
By determining hydraulic properties in computer simulations the assembly of many 0 models will be unnecessary. Not until hydrograv simulations come close to the optimal solution the first prototype will be build. Changes in geometry are much easier to realise in simulations than in the workshop.

Verifying special solutions of the planning engineer
It is often not possible, or only with great effort, to verify the hydraulic performance of a special solution of a planning engineer. That is how good ideas may fail because of the necessary testing. For example the effect of a small change in an effluent launder of a secondary settling tank is difficult to test during operation but rather easily and sufficiently accurately to predict by simulations.

Developing operational strategies with innovative optimisation methods
A new operational strategy is requested for a plant that is flown through. By using suitable methods hydrograv will identify very fast the more efficient possibilities. Afterwards the first hydrograv simulations will be compared to actual conditions to reach maximum accuracy. Finally the most promising alternatives are simulated and the verifiable optimum is found. Tests in existing plants that last many weeks become dispensable.
